REFLECTION

My proudest project

the project I'm most proud of would be my portrait drawing of WInne Harlow for my inspirational women's project. I am most proud of this project because it was a really challenging piece for me to do because of how detailed the picture I did of her was as well as it being my first time having ever done a portrait of someone. I am very proud of the way it turned out and would love to draw more portraits in the near future

My most challenging project

The project that I would say was the most challenging but also the most fun would be my Alexa Meade painting, because along the way there were lots of steps that had to be done to get a solid final result. An example of a problem I faced while trying to complete this project was the peeling back of the paint when trying to layer on more paint. Due to this, it took me a long time to complete the painting. A trick I used to solve this was to paint on a white base before applying the preferred colour to help with the peeling back as well as making the colour more vibrant on my skin.

My favourite project

My favourite project would have to be my independent unit project because it allowed me to really explore with paint something that I would mostly have avoided. Also, it is a representation of my day to day intrests combined with my art which I thought really brought my love for music to life and really enjoyed making them.

My least favourite project

the body casting project is my least favourite project out of all the projects I did. I feel so because I don't think I pushed my self far enough with this project. the galaxies painted on the hand do not really represent me and I wish I would have delved a bit deeper to try I and find something fitting to represent me.

My next projects

Next year I would like to work with charcoal, Clay, wire and more. with charcoal, I would want to do a value reversal or a landscape picture. With clay, I would like to do a bit of pottery or carve out a symbolic statue and with wire, I would like to take inspiration from one of my fellow artists and make a canvas sculpture with wire.
